Ideal Theaters
 

Experience Hollywood blockbusters the way movies were meant to be seen—on the big screen at one of our two beautifully restored historic theaters on Main Street in Heber City, Utah.

The Avon Theatre (est. 1948) is America’s favorite indoor “drive-in” movie theater, known for its nostalgic charm and immersive sound. (Surround Sound was actually invented there!) The Ideal Theatre (est. 1914) offers a classic movie-palace atmosphere with a full proscenium and stage—evoking the elegance of Hollywood’s Golden Age.

Beyond first-run films, we host a variety of themed Movie Clubs at both theaters, including book and a movie club, musical sing-alongs, westerns, interactive cinema, sports films, kids and family favorites, international films, nature features, and more. Our theaters are also available for private rentals, including birthday parties, family reunions, meetings, video-game parties, and even wedding receptions (yes—we’ve hosted those, too!).

Our goal is simple: to be your home away from home—a welcoming gathering place where friends and families come together, are greeted with a smile, and create lasting memories. A place to meet each weekend and enjoy movies the way we used to—on a giant screen, with incredible sound, and great snacks.
